The Student Activities Office Welcomes Monroe Students in Grand Style.

Perfect weather, a live band, tasty refreshments and a very relaxing atmosphere; this was indeed a great way to welcome the students to a new semester! On Wednesday, September 12th the Student Activities Office hosted a “Live Steel Band” in King Hall Garden. The garden which is located to the back of King Hall is open to Monroe College staff and students. DNA which is a Caribbean infused pop music band surely entertained the students, faculty and staff of Monroe College. Even bystanders were enjoying themselves. The band performed songs from genres such as calypso, pop and R&B. From the feedback we received, everyone who attended the event had a prodigious time.

The Student Activities Office also hosted its Fall 2012 Open House. The event took place on Thursday, September 13th at12:00pm in the Student Activities Office hall way. The event was held to welcome the students and familiarize them with the office. Students had the opportunity to get informed on the various on and off campus activities and student clubs. Students can expect a fun filled fall semester. Off campus trips include; 9/11 Memorial Site, Woodbury Common Outlets Shopping Trip, Six Flags Great Adventures Fright Fest and much more. On campus events include, Price is Right, Deal or no Deal, Family Feud, Ultimate Game Zone and so much more. On Thursday, September 27th students will have the opportunity to meet club members and advisors at the Fall 2012 Club Fair. The Club Fair is scheduled to take place from 11:30am-1:30pm in King Hall Gym. We encourage students to join a club and get involved.
